Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 October 2026

GLO is a booking platform that connects people in Cambodia with beauty, hair, barber, spa, nail, tattoo and pet-grooming businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Booking without an account

You can book without signing up. When you do, we collect the name, email address and phone number you enter, plus any note you add to the booking, and the service, date and time you chose. We need these to place the booking and to let the salon contact you.

If you create a client account

In addition to the above, your profile may hold:

  • your first and last name, phone number, and city or area
  • a profile photo, if you upload one
  • your date of birth and gender, if you choose to provide them
  • a Telegram handle, if you connect one
  • the salons you save as favourites, and reviews you leave after an appointment

Date of birth and gender are optional. Salons use them to prepare for your appointment; leaving them blank does not stop you from booking.

Reviews

If you booked online, you can rate your visit once it is over. Here is what happens to a review:

  • Public on the salon's GLO page: your stars, your comment, the date, and your first name with the first letter of your last name (for example “Sokha M.”). If you choose “Publish without my name”, it shows as “Verified GLO client” instead. The salon's reply is public too.
  • Never public: your email address, your phone number and your private message.
  • The salon always sees your name, even if you publish without it, and it receives your private message. GLO can see them too. We show them to no one else.
  • We email you an invitation to rate 2 hours after your visit ends, one reminder, and a notice when the salon replies. Every one of these emails has a link that stops all review emails; we then keep your email address on a do-not-email list so none is sent again.
  • You can delete a review at any time. Its comment, your private message and the salon's reply are erased and the review leaves the salon's page. We keep a hidden record of it, with its star rating, the name it was signed with and your email address, so the visit cannot be rated again.

Reviews are shown while the salon's page is open on GLO, and GLO may hide a review or a reply that breaks our rules. The details are in How reviews work.

If you apply to list your salon

We collect your name, your business name, your business phone number, your email address, your city and the categories of service you offer. We use this to review the application and to call you back. If the application is approved, this information becomes the basis of your salon account, alongside the services, team members, opening hours and photos you add afterwards.

Information collected automatically

To stop automated abuse of our public forms, we record a one-way fingerprint of the network address a request came from, together with the time. We do not store the address itself, the fingerprint cannot be reversed back into one, and these records are deleted after 24 hours. We also keep standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Who your information is shared with

When you book, the salon you booked with receives your name, contact details and booking details, so they can prepare for and confirm your appointment. Beyond that, we share information only with the providers that run the service on our behalf:

  • Supabase — database, file storage and account sign-in
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Resend — sending confirmation and notification emails
  • Telegram — delivering booking alerts to salons that connect it
  • Google Maps — showing salon locations on the map

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of users.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept while your relationship with the salon is active and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, dispute-handling and legal reasons. Salon applications that are declined are kept so we can recognise a repeat application. Anti-abuse records are deleted after 24 hours. Your reviews stay until you delete them. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and sign-in details and delete your bookings and the reviews you wrote; details a salon already received for an appointment may stay in that salon's own records.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you hold a client account you can delete it yourself from your account settings. To make any of these requests, or if you want to object to how we use your information, write to privacy@glo-kh.com.

Security

Information is stored on managed infrastructure with access controls that limit each account to its own records, and connections to the site are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection — but if a breach affects your information, we will tell you.

Children

GLO is not intended for children under 16. If a parent or guardian believes a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this document, and for significant changes we will tell you directly.
